Ensembles under Mr. Rounding’s direction have consistently received high praise for their musicality and high energy. He strives to always create a strong community within the program and the ensembles, where students share and celebrate in both individual and group achievements. Mr. Rounding truly loves sharing his passion for music with all students, no matter their level of experience, and believes that music students truly develop into leaders in all facets of their lives through their hard work, dedication, and positive attitudes.
Ms Nicole Hounjet has been a music director with the CBE and Foothills School Divisions for the past 20s years. During her teaching career she has built, developed, and grown programs based on community, culture, and artistry. Ms Hounjet is the former Vice President of Programs and Projects for Choir Alberta and in 2021 was the recipient of Choir Alberta's Con Brio Award, which recognizes the spirit and dedication of individuals and their commitment to choral music in their local community. An accomplished musician, Ms Hounjet completed her music degree at the University of Alberta and education degree at the University of Calgary.
